With Summer holidays quickly approaching for us Canadians, (Americans time to celebrate your summer being here!) I figured it would be a perfect time to share our summer bucket lists!
Month: May 2016
Week In review
Last week was a good week. I did some low milage running and a couple nights of lifting. Nothing crazy, but enough to wake my body up from its slump and get back into it!
May 15- Rest
May 16- 5km stroller run
May 17-upper body lifting
May 18- 2km sprint workout
May 19-Legs
May 20-Rest
May 21- 5km run, and lots of gardening!
My social media has been lacking but I promise I will try harder!!
Hope you are all enjoying your week! We are living it up with summer like temps here!
Catching up
It feels like forever since I have done a recap, and I guess it has really been a while. Truth is, I have been taking it sooooo easy lately that I don’t really feel like it is worth updating about!
More than a Runner
When I started this blog, I really wanted to focus on all aspects of my life that are important to me. Running (fitness), family and most importantly my faith.
While those three things have never changed or left me, I feel as though I have neglected to post about some!
May Goals
Does anyone else out there make monthly goals? I loved how it helped me last month, and so I think I am going to do it again for May!!
With no races on my schedule, yet, I am taking time to do a lot more strength training this month. My focus will be mostly on building muscle, while still keeping up with higher weekly running distances. I don’t want to lose everything I have worked so hard to get! And am really hoping that I can gain a significant 10km PR in June.
My plan is to follow a similar structure as April. 5 training runs a week, mixed with upper and lower body workouts, and then 2 rest days, that will actually be 1 mile run days.
I managed a 30 day run streak, and took one rest day, and now I’m back at it, run a little bit every.single. day.
You will never know what you are capable of if you don’t just try!
