Its hard to believe that I am one third of the way through my training program. Somedays, as you all know by now, I struggle, and somedays my training is on point, and I am so hopeful for my performance.
I missed last weeks update, sorry friends. Summer vacation is busy around here. We are soaking in as much fun as we can! The girls and I snuck away for a little Muskoka getaway to visit one of my oldest friends and spend time with my parents, while hubby stayed home to tend to our ever growing funny-farm. Last week was a bust! I finally went to the chiropractor in hopes of gaining some relief in my hip and leg, and thankfully it did help, but my lower body is all out of whack, that he recommended that I take a little time off running, so I can focus on healing.
Well week 2 is in the books, and I must say this training is off to a terrible start. Luckily my marathon is still 16 weeks away, which I feel is enough time for me to get it together, and become stronger and faster than the last one I ran!
I finished week one of my marathon training plan, and of course it did not go quite as I hopped, but I have learnt that being a running mom, you have to be flexible, and not let bumps in the road affect your attitude. Continue reading
